Homemade Vegetable Juice (V8)
Making your own Homemade Vegetable Juice (V8) is easier then you might think. After a fast, focusing on eating vegetables to break that fast is always a good idea. And I did it with the 8 vegetables hanging out in my fridge too. It is delicious every time. Why? Because I made it myself and there are no fake \”natural flavors\” – which is a hidden way for large food companies to sneak in chemicals. Nope. Not on my watch! Enjoy your own homemade vegetable juice (V8) too.

Instructions:
- Chop all vegetables into small bits. Leave aside the parsley for now. Start with your more dense vegetables first. So that means you start with carrots and the turnip (I had this and needed to cook it – you can omit it). Saute these under medium heat. Let those dense vegetables cook for a good 15 minutes before adding the other vegetables.
- If you have a garden, the tomato is the perfect vegetable to add to your juice. Full of vitamins and you planted it yourself! No pesticides or sprays to ingest!
- After you've pulled the cooked veggies you can set them aside to cool. Now you can use your immersion blender and get everything nicely mixed up and smooth. If you feel the juice is too thick – add water. See image of blender below.
- Let your juice cool and then properly store it in a glass container. Enjoy your juice for breakfast, lunch or dinnertime! Consume entire batch within 5 days for freshness.
Original V8 Juice contains 640 mg of salt. This is about 28% of the recommended upper limit for sodium per day.
